Il 9 settembre 2010, alla Mostra del Cinema di Venezia è stato proiettato fuori concorso in prima mondiale That girl in yellow boots, alla presenza del regista Anurag Kashyap, della produttrice Guneet Monga, e degli attori Kalki Koechlin, Gulshan Devaiah, Prashant Prakash e Pooja Swaroop. Video. Al festival Kashyap ha anche festeggiato il suo compleanno, in compagnia di un ospite d'eccezione - Quentin Tarantino - e del direttore Marco Müller.
Aggiornamento del 18 novembre 2010: Anurag ha redatto una cronaca giornaliera del festival nel suo profilo in Twitter, commentando e consigliando pellicole. Divertentissimo il messaggio pubblicato il 9 settembre: 'Oggi c'è il tappeto rosso. Kalki mi ha fatto tagliare i miei bei capelli lunghi e la barba alla Kubrick. Sembro un pollo spennato in compagnia di una francese'.

Aggiornamento dell'11 maggio 2013 - DearCinema oggi ha pubblicato un articolo dedicato a Guneet Monga nel quale racconta l'esperienza veneziana della produttrice: 'Though her success may sound astounding, few will believe that this young woman full of enthusiasm travelled to her first international film festival in Venice in 2010 with some 200 posters and 20.000 handouts of That girl in yellow boots. She thought she could paste posters of her film everywhere - like the festivals she had attended in school and college - and grab attention of the audience. She got a database of buyers and distributors at the Venice film market and sat shooting them emails to meet her. Frustrated that no one was coming up to her and buying her film; she walked up to the then director of the Venice Film Festival, Marco Müller, and asked him how she could get across to the buyers. Give yourself some time, Müller replied'.
