Lunedì scorso, a Londra, è stato conferito il Booker Prize 2022 allo scrittore srilankese Shehan Karunatilaka per il romanzo The Seven Moons of Maali Almeida. In Italia dovrebbe essere pubblicato nel 2023 da Fazi Editore. Nel sito ufficiale, si legge:

Aggiornamento del 6 giugno 2023: Le sette lune di Maali Almeida è da oggi in distribuzione nelle librerie italiane. Nel comunicato ufficiale si legge:
'L’incredibile storia di Maali Almeida si apre in circostanze a dir poco inconsuete: il giovane Maali, fotografo di guerra, giocatore d’azzardo e gay clandestino, si è appena svegliato in quello che sembra un ufficio visti celestiale. È morto, il suo corpo sta affondando nelle acque quiete del lago Beira e lui non ha idea di come ci sia finito.
